Do you feel like you set goals every January, but still haven’t achieved what you wanted? Do you wonder why you can be so motivated one week and completely accomplished the next? This episode is your complete blueprint for how to set goals and ultimately make changes that really stick. In this solo launch of our Best Self Challenge, Josie breaks down the real reasons why resolutions fail and gives you the only framework you need to set aligned, life-changing goals that feel as good as they look on paper. You’ll learn how to climb the “Why Ladder,” avoid resolution obstacles, and design your year in a way that feels grounded, interesting, and actually doable.

Wednesday, December 31: Reflections on 2025

Before we dive into vision boards, resolutions, and “new year, new me” energy, let’s pause for a moment to reflect. Taking a break to reset before the start of the new year can be powerful, especially when I’m feeling overwhelmed or stuck in an unproductive pattern. Whether your year has been full of accomplishments, challenges, or a combination of both, taking time to reflect and start over is a meaningful act of self-care and self-discovery. It’s a chance to check yourself before jumping into what’s to come. Listen to this 5-minute talk to reflect on the past year, or click here for journal prompts to guide you through your reflections.

Thursday, January 1: Listen to “Your Leveling Up Is Already Happening: A Guide to Getting What You Want Faster”

In this powerful episode, Josie shares a life-changing realization that transformed her entire manifestation practice and helped her finally start living the life she’s been visualizing for years. This isn’t a “new year, new me” episode, this is your complete blueprint for collapsing the timeline, calibrating your nervous system to expect speed, and ultimately closing the gap between where you are and where you know you should be. From the psychology of “almost there” energy to practical tools for daily momentum, you’ll gain a whole new understanding of how to stop waiting and start receiving faster. If you’ve ever felt stuck, impatient, or like your dream life is just a few steps out of reach, this episode will change things.

Friday, January 2: Do Josie’s New Year’s Life Mapping Journal Exercise

The thing about New Year’s is that we’re going to journal—(even if you’re hungover for two days). Today’s journal sesh included Josie’s signature life mapping journal exercise. This is no ordinary manifestation exercise: It’s about manifesting all your dreams and goals and charting your path from there. It’s also about expressing gratitude because the key to getting what you want in the future is to first be grateful for what you have now. Get ready because this is a journaling exercise that you can plan to repeat again in the coming weeks and months. You can read Josie’s how-to here or listen to this week’s episode for more.

Saturday, January 3: Read “65 Realistic New Year’s Resolutions You Can Completely Achieve This Year”

Need inspiration for your New Year’s resolution? Browse this list and decide which is best for you. For example, talking to yourself the way you would talk to someone you care about? That’s definitely something you can accomplish by the end of the year. Reading it will hopefully remind you that resolutions don’t have to be big, grand goals. Instead, it can be a small way to live better every day.

Sunday, January 4: Create a 2026 Vision Board

PSA: Vision boards are a lot cooler than you remember from a few years ago. Spend today creating a vision board any way you want: Write a simple list to hang on your refrigerator, create an aesthetic collage, or save it digitally and create a Pinterest board. For more tips and inspiration, check out this article. End the first week of the new year strong with a vision board that can inspire you for the rest of the year.

Monday, January 5: Make a list of things you’re looking forward to this year

Jot down everything you’re excited about between now and 2026. Do you have a friend’s wedding, special anniversary, big life change, graduation, or fun birthday celebration coming up? What about the little things, like a new season of your favorite TV show or a list of books you want to read? What about the little things, like the changing seasons or a recipe you want to cook? This year will not only be extraordinary because the plans or goals you hoped for came true and you want to achieve; This year could be an extraordinary year because things are planned—happening without you trying or expecting them at all.
