Postpartum Depression Now Perinatal: Guide for Pregnant Women

In this US news guide for postpartum depression, Jennifer Payne, MD, explains why women who are a minority risk of great risk for postpartum depression. He noted that “pressure comes from minoritization and stress groups because lower socioeconomic status increases the risk of postpartum depression.”

Payne also explained that “perinatal depression” is a more accurate term. About half of the postpartum depression begins during pregnancy.
