We tried all the Starbucks Fall drinks – there, ranked from the worst to the best
Four years ago, our team decided to start the journey – some might call it a lifetime trip. Every time the new season is rolling, we leave to try all new Starbucks drinks, rank, and share the results with you. In recent years, you like our review of Starbucks autumn drinks, holiday drinks, and new spring and summer releases. Now, we have officially returned to our favorite season this year: Autumn.
Our entire team likes delicious Starbucks coffee, but there is something about the autumn menu that takes it to the next level. This year, Starbucks added a new autumn menu item: The Pecan Oatmilk Cortado. But there is also one thing that feels lost from this year’s lineup: Apple Crisp drinks. (I’m upset. Don’t talk about it.)
To celebrate the beginning of the PSL season, our testers group gathered at our office in Chicago to try seven seasonal Starbucks drinks. You can only imagine the awkwardness asking for a barista to make us, yes, all Autumn drink menu. But two trays full of orange drinks later, we sat, inhaled, and chose ranking. Obviously, we think this is very serious.
How do we rank their rankings
Seven official testers we tried seven total drinks. We then print each drink on a scale of 1-5 in the “overall taste” category and “The possibility of getting again.” With 10 possible points per drink from each tester, each drink has a maximum of 70 points that are possible. After we have a total drink score, we calculate them to get out of 10, just to keep it simple. We also ordered all drinks without modification, so we can feel the drink exactly as intended by large starbucks.
This is the official ranking of everygirl from every autumn drink at Starbucks:
7. Cream Cold Brew Pumpkin
Score: 4/10
This one is very surprising. In previous years, pumpkin cold cream drinks always The ranking is quite high in our list, but this year, it only fell flat for us. Maybe we got a bad batch, but the cold drink was too bitter and strong and had no enough pumpkin. One of our graphic designers is a lover of big cold drinks, but even he doesn’t like this and agree that it requires more taste to balance the bitterness. We might provide another chance this season, but for now, this is a bait.
6. Cut pecan oatmilk
Score: 5/10
The girls have to do a little research about this one. Many of us have never had Cortado before – if you are on the same ship, basically the Espresso 1: 1 ratio to steamed milk. This means small but strong, which may not be attractive to everyone. This one ranks is quite low, mainly because of a strong espresso taste. As an espresso devil, I like this one, but other office girls do not agree. They do not like crazy and agree that it might be better with whole milk to make the pecan taste more prominent. Our branded content editor even goes further by commenting on “Yuck” as his review. But for me personally, you can unplug this from my cold and dead hands.
5. Frappuccino Pumpkin Spices
Score:6/10
As usual, Frappuccino falls fall in the middle of the ranks. This one always gets a high score because of the flavor of the pumpkin extraordinary – it doesn’t taste like coffee. This is more a dessert in a cup. If you like a sweet drink that is sick -sick (or you really crave ice cream but instead ends in Starbucks), you might like this one. Our team, however, is not the target audience. In fact, one of our graphic designers notes that Frappuccinos in general is only strange (honestly fair). So, it’s fun to try, but we might not order this through our ordinary coffee orders.
4. Latte Ice Pumpkin Seasoning
Score: 6.5/10
Because it was still in the 70s here in Chicago, we decided to taste the two hot ones And This year’s PSL ice version. Latpkin Spice Latte is an icon, and this is a fairly solid autumn drink every year. However, the ice version was a little disappointing – almost everyone agreed that the flavor of the pumpkin was less visible on the PSL ice. Maybe it’s just ice that waters drinks, but also feels heavier and is completely different from the hot version. Many of us will consider ordering this one again, but maybe only when we still enjoy the last piece of Midwest summer.
3. Iced Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte
Score: 7/10
Oatmilk Latte Crunch Pecan Iced received the most diverse review of all autumn drinks this year. The general consensus is that this one has a good and solid flavor of pecan, thus fulfilling its name. It was far more popular than Pecan Cortado, and we all agreed that this one was more balanced and sweet. Although some of our teams claim to be “peanut haters,” some of us can see ourselves to get this one again throughout the fall.
2. Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai
Score: 8/10
Chai lovers, Starbucks is really interesting for us this year with pumpkin ice cream Iced Chai. Despite the lowest ranks last year, they were right this time. It’s a cream and smooth, with the perfect number of Chai Spice. We all agreed that this one must be on a sweeter side, but with Starbucks Chai, we expect that. It’s not too milk and checks all our boxes for solid autumn drinks for this season. We will definitely order this again (and again … and again).
1. Pumpkin Latte (Hot)
Score: 9/10
And the winner is … Latte Hot Pumpkin Seasoning! Are we surprised? Not too. PSL is a true icon this season, and we all know that. This is the first drink we tested the taste, and everyone was impressed with this year’s PSL. The taste ratio of coffee with a sweet taste is perfection, and the warm feeling he gives is very reminiscent. This reminds me of Infinity scarves and UGG boots in the best way. This is a drink this season and will be our destination before traveling to pumpkin patches, apple juice factory, and the autumn apple garden.
